Prayer Before a Job Interview

Lord, guide me as I prepare for this test.
Help me to be at my best.
This is like a recital, but answering questions.
Provide me with peace and presence of mind,
to be calm and alert during this situation.
Lord, a good job I hope I can find.

Thank you for this chance you bestow.
I want to share the Holy Spirit, in all its glow.

Graduand's Prayer

Lord, I thank You for the gift of your assistance
throughout my course up to another beginning.
Forgive me for the times of weakness and resistance
to Your will. I now know that truly winning
means accepting and fulfilling Your divine plan.
Lead me through the next set of challenges
and provide direction toward a career which can
bring me closer to You, closer to heaven.
I want to share with You all my joy from your
graces. Always give me hope even
in the times when scarce is an open door.

Thanksgiving for Prayers Answered

Lord, at this time, I am a fount
of thanks. May I never forget
the blessings you have given,
the prayers you have answered,
the times I have been forgiven.

Lord, at this time, I am a mount
trying to touch Your hand, to let
myself immerse among Your heavenly herd.

Prayer for Financial Aid

Lord, I have come at a time when I need
financial aid, not merely to feed
my earthly desires, but more of being able
to serve you and others, to be capable
of accomplishing Your will. To You I lift
this burden. I am open to any gift
You give, to any decision You make,
for I know that You care for my sake.

Prayer for a Debutante

Lord, a young woman has grown in front of our
eyes. May she ever lean toward the Truth and
the Light. May she walk along the way You
have set for her. May angels watch her each hour
of each day in her life. May You take her hand
so that she fulfills her potential. Make her smile
wherever she is, in whatever she would do.
Inspire her in every little while.

Prayer for Those Who Do Not Know God's Love

Lord, I pray for those who do not know

Your infinite, unconditional love. May they find

You and on their own roads of life, may they grow

closer to You. May they see You as mankind's

Savior and give respect to You and to all life.

Together, may all people ever follow

You, who delivers us from evil and strife.

A Writer's Prayer

Lord, please bestow upon me the gift

of the Holy Spirit. To You, I ever lift

my works. I offer to You my hands,

my eyes, my mind, my soul as I write.

May Your truth shine as a great light

that enlightens, comforts, instills hope,

inspires, and strengthens others through

my writing. May I be like a durable rope

that connects Your beloved people to You.

Please guide me out of those empty pauses

of frustration, the feathery fog that causes

time to slip away meaninglessly. Please

help me smile despite rejection. May I please

you by following Your will. I pray that my

words will be accepted by all minds' eyes.
