Lord, help me to absorb the messages today

from the Bible and from the mouth of the pastor -

Help me to live Your Word in many ways.

Help me to be closer to You, my friend and Master.

Thanksgiving Prayer

Lord, Your Holy Spirit works through all of us -
Our supplications are heard and answered as
long as they are according to Your will. We
thank You for being just and kind, for all
the blessings that knock and enter through
our daily doors. We may not always see
them and even our prayers may fall
short. However, our souls are all for You.

Amen.

Prayer for the Jobless

Lord, I pray for the jobless that they find work to
feed themselves and their families, to fulfill
their potential, and to serve others and You.
Help them to accept the path according to Your will.

Amen.

Prayer for a Job

Lord, I pray for a job - guide my soul not to desire
financial wealth, but fulfillment of my potential
through service to others. May the Holy Spirit's fire
continue to endow me with gifts, so I shall
accomplish my duties, especially to You, my Master.
I will persevere and wait upon Your will on this matter.

Prayer Before a Journey

Lord, life consists of journeys and is itself one.
In the trip I am about to take, let me fly on
angels' wings. With Your blanket of love, keep
me safe. Wherever I go, may Your blessings
flow, within and around me. May the deep
joy of heaven ever teach my soul to sing:
Thank You for the opportunity to travel,
to see Your bounty everywhere, and marvel.
Guide me in every baby step and every leap.

Thanksgiving and Praise to God

You, oh Lord, are a tree of mercy, blossoming
and bearing fruit all year round. How fragrant are
your flowers; how sweet are your fruits; how
cool is your shade. You have answered my prayers;
nowadays, my optimism and faith in You is blooming.
From me, Your roots and branches are never far.
You are a tree for everyone's garden, if we all show care.
Thanks for Your bounty from the past until now.

Prayer for Prisoners

Lord, have mercy on prisoners around the world. May
those who are guilty repent and alter their wrong ways.
May those who are innocent not lose hope and be set free.
May all prisoners' rights be respected as they should be.

Amen.

Prayer for Teens

Lord, we usually say that youth are our future.
Thus, with Your guidance, help us nurture
our teens. May all teens in the world be free
yet understand their limits and avoid sin.
May all teens in the world find love, yet
understand that it is not only eros, but can
also be found in God, family, and friends;
if they also find partners, help them to see
God in each other and grow together in respect
of body, mind, and soul; if they get broken
hearts, help them to heal and find strength within.
Open their eyes to the horizon that never ends;
fuel their belief in You and in themselves so
that they will fulfill their potential as they grow.
May they realize the importance of virtues
and toward The Way, may they ever choose.

Prayer for Patience through Technology's Tough Times

Lord, human technology is like humans - imperfect.
Sometimes, malfunction occurs, and most of us get stuck.
So, Lord, I realize more of my awe and respect
for You, as well as the need for patience - acceptance of luck
or fate - and balance in time management,
which may require creativity. I lift up to You this predicament,
so that You may guide me through it. I also realize that I
should always turn to You and less on technology rely.

Amen.

Prayer for the Recovery of Lost Items

Lord, I acknowledge that I am human - that my
mind is not always present and that I am not always
organized. Please help me find the things I've lost.
Enlighten my mind. I lift this matter into Thy
hands. Nevertheless, lead me to prioritize the ways
and the things to seek: Thou art foremost.

Jude 1:20

Holy Spirit, I pray to You to enrich my faith,
"persevere in God's love", and "welcome the mercy" of Jesus Christ.
I believe in Jesus' promise of eternal life for me;
help me to live according to God's plan.
Lord, for You - Your actions and the day I see You - I wait;
meanwhile, give me signs to know that my current path is right.
Holy Spirit, pour upon me Your gifts and enable me to see
Jesus in every child, woman, and man.

Prayer for Babies

Lord, thank You for each gift of new human
life in this world. Help us all to appreciate
their worth and potential as people, as Your
beloved creatures. Help us to respect and love
them, as well as to provide them with nourishment of
body, mind, and soul - to attend to their core
needs: shelter, food, clothes, education, faith...
May each baby grow into an optimal man or woman.
Guide and guard them in their growth in all aspects,
and for positive things - through You, may they expect.
Thank You for the parents who have helped You
with Your plan. May they fulfill their duties that are due.
Amen.

Prayer for the Home (Acts 16:11-15)

Lord, You and Your people are welcome in my home.
Please bless this place, so that love will overflow here.
May no evil enter; may angels guard every door and
window. Thank You for this shelter and all who dwell
within it. Please bless us all who come and go;
may we have faith, hope, and no fear.
Holy Spirit, remind us of God's call and commands.
Help us to live here righteously, safely, peacefully and well.

Prayer to the Holy Spirit (Jn 14:23-29)

Holy Spirit, teach me and remind me of the true Way.
Impart to me divine peace. Help me to show love
for God by following the Word even in little ways everyday.
Stay within me, beside me, around me, and above.

Prayer for Persecuted Christians Jn 15:18-21

Lord, You said that because we are beyond
this world, because You chose us, and
because You yourself were harmed though
innocent, there are Christians reckoned
as punishable, almost as outcasts in the land.
Give them strength to persevere, and not to fear,
for You also said that they are blessed, so
may they find peace and fruitfulness of their
missions. I also pray that more people will care.

John 15:12-17

Lord, thank You for calling me Your friend,
no longer Your slave. Thank You for choosing
me as Your disciple, to "bear fruit". Thank You
for sacrificing Your life for me, though I am not
worthy. Thank You for clarifying Your love
commandment -- it helps lives and bonds mend.
I implore You, my Lord: be there when I'm losing
my hope while doing Your will. Help me to
be fruitful; also, I now thank You for the lots
of fruits You've grown through me so far. Of
our friendship, may it never break, and someday,
may I see the beautiful face of The Way.

John 15:9-11

Lord, you said that we should keep living in Your love
so that we would share in your joy. So I want to be
your friend and sibling forever. You said that to
keep this bond, we should follow your golden rule:
to love You, others, and ourselves. Thus, I ask You:
please bless others and me, and help us to see
Your grace that stems from the inner fuel,
that is a joyful love greater than we can dream of.

Prayer about Stage Fright

Lord, please calm me down as I perform

in public. Ease my mind and heart; give

me courage to face the people. Help me

to enhance my talents, not as a form

of boastfulness, but as an opportunity

to offer them all back to you. May I relive

these moments not always with regret

but as good lessons I would never forget.

Amen.

Prayer for the Elderly

Lord, I pray for the elderly, that they do
not live their lives with regret, that they continue
to have dreams and fulfill them, that they find
joy and peace in every day, that they look forward
to Your glory, that they receive respect from youth,
that they have good health and clarity of mind --
and if they don't, please provide them with people who
care. Please comfort them when times are hard.

Amen.

Prayer for the Poor

Lord, You love the poor so much and You
promise them a bounty. Have mercy on those
people - imbue them with hope, joy, peace,
love, and good health. May they be filled
with Your graces. Help them find resources,
especially financial, for food, shelter, clothes,
education, and life's other necessities.
Strengthen their faith to be ever true
and may they strive to do Your will,
realizing that only You are the solutions' source.

Amen.

Prayer for My Father

Lord, I thank you for my father - for
his support to my family, including me.
Please bless him, to You I implore,
so that he follows the divine example.
Forgive his faults, for he is only human,
and help him triumph over his weakness.
Guide me in being a child with love ample
to move the mountains of his soul. Bless
us in our journey, to believe that we can.
Give him peace as much as You will it to be.
Amen.

Prayer for My Mother

Lord, I thank You for my mother,
for her love which reflects Yours -
unconditional - since my time in her
womb until today. Bless her more
each day, and help me reciprocate
all the goodness she has done for me.
Show me Your ways with Mother Mary,
which I can daily imitate.
Amen.
