Lord, I would like to heartily express
my gratitude for the bounty of fruits
and flowers, for the leaves' greenness,
for the rain that flows into the roots,
for the sunshine that also warms them,
for the wind and its syncopated rhythm,
for the bees and butterflies that visit,
for the coolness of the shade of the trees,
for the smile that every minute
of imbibing this beauty evokes. Please
accept my labor as a sacrifice -
to make You just smile, may it suffice.
