Lord, help me to be humble through good
and bad times, to know how I should
act or what I should say, to always
acknowledge that only You are
perfect and superior. Touch my mouth
so no utterance would be of waste,
so I would not hurt persons near or far,
friends or strangers. May I be without
pride, except of You; may even my gait
show no hint of empty vanity.
Ever strengthen my faith
and instill in me a heart of humility.
Amen.
