Prayer for Hope and Faith in Hard Times

Lord, please imbue hope and faith into my heart
whenever the times are tough; let me look up
to Your face and not look down. May You impart
enlightenment for me to accept life's bitter cups.
May hope and faith strengthen my will to survive
the storms. In You, I place my hope. In You, I believe.

Prayer for the Conversion of Sinners

Lord, we humans have offended You with our
sins. I pray that You touch our hearts so
we would repent, change our ways, and become
closer to You. May the last breath, the last hour
be not too late to accept Your saving grace,
and to Your kingdom may we all come.
As your disciple said, life is indeed a race -
to save ourselves and others in this life we borrow.

Thanksgiving for Food

Lord, I thank You for food, my daily
blessing. I thank You for those who prepared
it, for those who raised the livestock and crops,
for those who fished, for those transported all
of these - I thank You for the journey
my food took before it arrived at my table, where
I find nourishment. May your blessings befall
the fields and farms, the waterways, the shops,
the factories, myself, as well as my friends and family.
For those who hunger, please provide their
needs through the servants who heed Your call.

Prayer for Religious Leaders

Lord, guide the religious leaders around
the world. Help them spread peace among
all people. May they always be good role
models for society, and if they ever make
a mistake, help us to forgive while You also
show Your mercy toward them. We all long
for heavenly guidance - so may their souls
and bodies be instruments grounded
in humility and humanity. Lord, as they may
tread into danger, protect them with angel's arrows.
Bless all our eyes, ears, minds, and hearts
to embrace the truth which through them You impart.
Continue to inspire everyone to be leaders and
followers. Inspire us to say to Your will, "I can."

Thanksgiving for My Life

Lord, I thank You for the gift of life that You
have continued to bestow upon me since
conception - You knew me even before I
was a single cell in the womb. You believed
in me and gave me purpose, freedom to choose,
and talents. Throughout the years, the wins
and the losses, You have nourished my
dreams. So many blessings I have received,
even those that I did not ask for or for which
I did not express my gratitude. So many lessons
I have learned; I am forever whom You teach
as I am Your child. Thank You for each sun
and moon I see. Thank You for Your enduring
mercy despite my sinfulness and unworthiness.
Thank You for Your guiding presence during
times of trials and peace, tears and happiness.

Prayer for the Homeless

Lord, please take care of people who have no
shelter - they may wander the streets and some
may have mental illnesses. May they find a home
soon and live in security today and tomorrow.
Also, cure the ill, and encourage others
to extend their hearts to their poor sisters and brothers.
Nevertheless, let everyone remember that our true
home is in heaven, where we will rejoice with You.

Musician's Prayer

Lord, thank You for the gift of music, which stirs
or soothes our sentiments. Thank You for my
talent, which I hope to develop more and share
with others. Though I may never match your
angels, make me Your instrument. May I first
remember that the music is truly created by
Your unfathomable genius and how I fare
in every performance is guided by Your will.
You are my audience, my conductor, my mentor -
I give You every moment I play/sing or am still.

Lord, I would like to heartily express
my gratitude for the bounty of fruits
and flowers, for the leaves' greenness,

love and care. Please bless our human mouths
so we speak no evil of one another; our eyes

so the hurts along the way we patiently bear.

Lord, be at the core of our family and all

people - men, women, and children -

who suffer the torture

of starvation. Listen

to their cries for help. Send

Lord, you told Simon Peter to

feed your sheep. Guide me to continue

this mission literally, as I have faith that a

Lord, guide me in my studies as I

try to determine my path, enrich

my knowledge, and develop my

talents. Help me fulfill my dreams

yet teach me to avoid greed and

pride. Lead me to choose the way which

would make me extend my heart and hand

to those in need, knowing that streams

of goodwill feed into a river of glory that

heads to You, though its route may not

Lord, I pray for the recovery of the sick, so that
all may see Your glory. You alone are
the true healer, and You also decide
the time for everything: for good and
bad health, for life and death. At
this moment, have mercy and show Your care
for those in pain or other ailments. Be beside
them; touch them with Your holy hand.
Help them to grow stronger in faith and hope
While they accept the fight and cope.

Night Prayer

Lord, thank You for this day: for all
the blessings You have bestowed
upon me, the opportunities I have been
given serve You, and the hardships - also
the downfalls - I have undergone.
Forgive me for all the wrong I have done,
The hurt I have caused, the foe
I may not yet have forgiven, the unseen
negativity - such as thoughts. Indeed, borrowed
is this day from You, with its big and small
moments. As I now go to sleep, I pray for Your
protection. Yet if You will it that tomorrow will
never come for me, bring me to Your door

Lord, help me to be humble through good
and bad times, to know how I should
act or what I should say, to always
acknowledge that only You are
perfect and superior. Touch my mouth
so no utterance would be of waste,

show no hint of empty vanity.

Everywhere in the world, someone mourns

the death of a loved one. Lord, may these

people feel Your love and Your comfort while

they spill or hide their tears. May they find

strength in the hope that with You, reborn

are the souls that have flown like geese

to a better clime. Help the mourners to smile

again in time though in their minds

shall live the legacies of those loved ones.

Had the latter fought earthly battles, let

the living learn from them and even continue

the good causes which have been passed on

like batons in the marathons of life. May the mourners set

their eyes away from pity and lift their sorrows to You.

Lord, forgive me, a sinner, and help me
